Oceano--Just a few blocks from the beach and Oceano Dunes State Recreational Vehicular Park is a train car diner (two train cars attached to each other, actually). With a bright red awning on the entry and a big sign displayed in a train car window that invites you when it's "OPEN", the interior design sets a lively mood to enjoy an old-fashioned dining experiencing you may have encountered if you lived in the 1950's. Elvis was a young phenomenon with a fresh, edgy sound and appeal in music that rocked. Rock n Roll Diner is a little bit Elvis, and a lot of fun. With red and pearl checkered vinyl booths, plastic squirt bottles containing ketchup and mustard, salt and pepper on every table and a view of the beautiful hills and eucalyptus trees beyond the road, you could easily find yourself dining at Rock n Roll Diner many times if you were lucky enough to live nearby.
